Web Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused, open-source web analytics tool, to understand aggregate usage of our marketing site (loudcurtain.com) and merchant dashboard (dashboard.loudcurtain.com). Umami is self-hosted on our own servers in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH); no analytics data is shared with any third party.
What Umami does NOT do:
- Does not use cookies or browser storage
- Does not store your IP address (a daily-rotating salted hash is used and discarded after 24 hours)
- Does not track you across other websites
- Does not fingerprint your device
- Does not apply on the customer-facing PWA at q.loudcurtain.com
What we collect: page visited, anonymised session hash (rotates daily), referring URL, country (derived from IP, then discarded), device type, browser type.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — operating, securing, and improving the Service.
Retention: aggregated analytics for 365 days; raw event data for 30 days.
International transfers: none. Data stays on our infrastructure in the European Economic Area.
Right to object: you can object to this processing at any time by emailing [email protected]. We can also configure a per-user opt-out on request.
Because Umami uses no cookies and no client-side persistent storage, no consent under the ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)) is required for this processing. Disclosure under Article 13 GDPR is satisfied by this section.
